This lovely little 2CV is in very good order and an absolute hoot to drive!
It's been significantly lowered, has modified steering arms to ensure the steering has not become too heavy, and has a modified induction system which gives it loads more go.
It handles superbly and goes well enough to surprise other road users and provide its driver with loads of fun. The lower stance of the car looks great and it still rides really well but you now have to slow down a bit for speed humps and it certainly won't carry your basket of eggs unbroken across a field!
The previous owner modified the car with the intention of fitting a BMW 1100 RT motorcycle engine but changed circumstances meant that this conversion wasn't completed. Many new parts were fitted and the result is a fantastic 2CV which retains its 602cc engine and all its eccentric character but now has greatly enhanced driver appeal.
The car has a brand new MOT, with no advisories, which expires on 3rd October 2019 and it is, of course, HPI clear. Its very presentable bodywork is in the rare Bleu de Tropiques colour and the roof and interior are in good order.
It won't be winning any prizes at your local car show and you'll probably incur the wrath of the 2CV purists but you really won't care because you'll be having so much fun driving this unique car whenever you can. It needs to be seen and driven and I'm confident that the first person who does so will buy it. And if that isn't the case I'll be happy to keep it and have some more fun in it myself! It's only for sale now because I could really use the space.
