For sale is our 1985 Dodge B250 Ram Royal SE Sportsmobile camper with full length pop up roof.
We are the 3rd owner and bought the van in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and then toured around the Mid West across Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. The mileage when we got it was just over 54000 miles. We've got a nice file of history including the original bill of sale, showing it spend all it's live in South Dakota and Minnesota.
It's in good original condition, but not immaculate and has some stone chips, dents and scratches as you'd expect from a 35 year old camper. The mileage now is just over 61500 miles. We've done a near 4000 mile, 3 week round trip through Germany & Sweden in July. It was and still is only used during the summer months and otherwise garaged during Winter.
The interior is all original and as it should be. The fold down sofa makes a very comfortable, large double bed (1. 9m long) and there's the option of a double bed on the top too. Sportsmobile are still in business today and still offer the Penthouse PopTop conversion for modern vans. Just google sportsmobile. com.
Everything else on the van works as it should. It has A/ C, a sink with hand pump, two burner hob & grille, tow bar with removable hitch & European 7 pin socket, CD radio with Aux port and camping socket for electric hook up.
The engine is a 5. 2l (318cu) V8 Petrol with automatic trans. It does an honest 18mpg or 15l/ 100km combined A-road/ motorway travelling and running around town.
I have about 40 detail pictures I can email on request. It's a genuine van you can just get in and drive away without any worries.
