This is a very nice and completely solid example of a genuine factory produced Mk1 Vitesse convertible.
It's a pretty car with very good bodywork and a completely solid and clean chassis which has been painted rather than covered in underseal. As with nearly all Vitesse convertibles there are some minor paintwork and panel gap discrepancies but nothing which detracts from its overall appearance. Unlike many similar cars the interior is lovely and under the bonnet it's clean, tidy and in excellent order.
The car drives really well, starting quietly and easily and maintaining excellent oil pressure. The clutch, gearbox and overdrive all perform as they should, as do the steering and brakes. The hood is a good cloth example and the car has a hood cover, which makes it look much tidier with the hood down, and a full tonneau cover.
Although now tax and MOT exempt there is an advisory free MOT until 27th February 2020 and the car is HPI clear. I ensure that all my cars have a new or very long MOT both for peace of mind and to preserve the vehicles history. There is a history file with numerous MOTs, many old invoices, and an original owner's handbook.
All in all this is a very useable example of this popular and fast appreciating model which can be enjoyed with pride straight away. I'm confident that anyone viewing the car will not be disappointed.
