I bought this as I am a car nut and I just buy things I like. However, I've got too many cars so want to sell. It's actually a nice drive and I've done several long journeys in it. It's quite a popular car and people will talk to you about it whilst you're filling up etc.
It failed it's MoT but not on much.
I'll start with the bad points (there are only a few):
The exhaust has developed a blow. I think it's the read box. I think it might just to be re-sealed. If not, I'd stick a nice sporty backbox on it to match the rest of the car.
Bit of a clonk when you pull away.
Handbrake doesn't have much spare travel (this should just need a simple adjustment. If I get time I'll dig out a spanner and adjust it).

When I bought it I was told it had recently had a headgasket (and cambelt etc).
The only other fault is there is a bit of a clonk when you change from first to second. It's not a gearbox noise it sounds like a knackered bush (or an engine steady (not sure if these have them)).
I'm clearing out a lot of my toys so will have a mk5 Escort XR3i cab for sale. I will probably sell one of my e30s and maybe my Escort RS Turbo replica too. I might sell my Madeira Violet e36 M3 Cabriolet too. Oh and my e30 Baur. I may sell a few others too. Maybe.
