Jaguar Sovereign XJ350 4. 2 V8 2+2 lwb (unusual split rear seat chauffeur/ business specification with multimedia)
I bought this car in 2016 from a management consultant who had acquired the vehicle from Harwoods Jaguar in 2006. It was the dealer demonstrator but still cost him a princely £44k.
Despite being entitled to a new car every 3 years, he liked it so much that he declined two opportunities to nenew and hence kept the vehicle for 9 years, commuting once a week from Surrey to Sheffield before giving way to a Mercedes CLS. The mileage is over 200k which reflects this mainly motorway usage but I am told she appears to have plenty of life left in her and passed an MOT without advisories in January.
I have only used the Jag as a second car and hence only added approximately 4000 miles per year of ownership.
The car had a private service about a year ago with new battery, fuel filter, spark plugs along with the obvious oil and filters.
Tyres are pirelli front and yokohama rear.
The car is very difficult to value as the mileage will put a lot of potential buyers off but this is still an impressive car with a particularly clean and tidy interior. My son wants it as his first car but unfortunately he is 5 years from driving age!
The rear seats appear to have hardly been sat on.
I have little doubt this will be the cheapest 2006 V8 sovereign in the country and there is still potential for reasonable offers to be considered BUT interested parties must first view the car in Eastbourne or Caterham.
