Descripción
This 1981 short wheel base diesel has come to us from the estate of the current registered keeper who has now sadly passed away.
We have the current V5. The registered keeper has owned the vehicle since 2007.
The 2286cc diesel engine is still fitted; the vehicle is complete but in poor condition, and is sold as a non-runner for restoration or as a parts source.
Overall condition is below average; the chassis has corroded in areas such as front dumb irons, and there is evidence of previous poor welding, but could the chassis could be saved with work. There are many salvageable parts however. The bulkhead does not look too bad, and the dashboard is complete and in pretty good original condition. Many of the outer body panels are straight and re-useable. Being a late model Series 3 she has hazard warning lights and brake servo, and a few 'extra' standard features that the earlier vehicles did not have.
Bench seats are fitted in the back, and non-standard reclining seats in the front. She is not an original station wagon.
She will need to be trailered away, of course!
This represents an opportunity to own a Series 3 Land Rover for long-term restoration or for a good parts source.
Part exchanges may be considered.
