Description
This AC Greyhound is an original UK supplied RHD Bristol engined car recently repainted in Aston Martin Dunhill Silver and fitted with new stainless wire wheels. It is beautifully presented externally and has a very attractive original red leather interior. It is fitted with a Bristol 2. 2 litre engine with Bristol gearbox and overdrive - one of the original engine options for the car and that which is generally considered to suit the Greyhound best. The car is not fitted with bumpers as the current owner prefers it without but a set of bumpers and fittings needing restoration come with the car. There is a very full history file including the original green logbook in the name of AC Cars and detailed invoices and photographs relating to restoration about 20 years ago by specialists Spencer Lane Jones since when about 20, 000 miles have been covered. AC only made 83 Greyhounds - they are distinctive and underrated cars which seldom come to market. This example has benefitted from discriminating and knowledgeable recent owners - it is in excellent condition and drives particularly well.
