Beschreibung
This rare BMW is in beautiful condition throughout and is ready to use and enjoy. It is a Baur Convertible of which only 354 right hand drive versions were produced and shows a mileage of under 82000 miles (believed to be genuine).
Bearing its original registration number of PYW 3L, it is one of the five original press/ exhibition cars, all registered on 7 February 1973 by BMW Concessionaires GB, with consecutive registration numbers (PYW 1L to PYW 5L). It is tax and MOT exempt, although an MOT was recently carried out for peace of mind.
She drives exceptionally well, the engine pulls strongly without any smoke or untoward rattles or vibrations, the gear change is smooth and quiet, the brakes work very effectively and the steering feels positive and tracks straight ahead.
The electrics, including interior dials, gauges and buttons all work as they should.
No major bodywork has been done or is necessary, although it had a cosmetic restoration (repaint) in 2007 in it's original colour of Turkis Blue, otherwise it's original and solid.
The interior has a lovely patina, in very good original condition, with only the drivers seat bolster having been re-trimmed.
There is record of recent repair/ maintenance work carried out and judging by the overall condition, the car has clearly been loved and cherished. The V5, MOT certificate and owners manual are present.
