Beschreibung
This is the opportunity to buy a rare 1961 Ford Consul Classic 1340cc which was purchased by my father in 1962, has a recorded mileage of 64, 030 miles and has been in the family ever since. It had its last MoT in 1987 and has been garaged most of the time since then. It was offered and accepted for restoration by the Ford Motor Company Museum and held by them for about 3 years. The Ford Motor Company (FMC) failed to undertake the work due “to lack of finance” and the car was returned to me. The car was fully inspected by a Ford Motor Company (FMC) specialist and identified as suitable for restoration. The FMC does not have an example of this car.
The car is complete and still in its original paint with Owners Manual, Parts List, P. Olyslager Motor Manual, J. H. Haynes Tuning Manual, Lubrication Chart(A3 Copy), Complete Service History and MoT Certs 1979 to 1987; spare wheel and jack.
It has not run since 1992 therefore it needs a complete mechanical overhaul. The car was “undersealed” and the suspension points all appear sound
The car was never in an accident but the body has minor knocks, scrapes and some rust points to lower doors, etc . The front wings are rusted at the rear vertical seams and around the headlights (which need re-silvering) and the jacking points need reinstating. Bumpers need attention.
The all-original interior is in good condition with wear only to the off-side of the drivers seat and door armrest.
There are some spares (brake parts etc)
The car will need to be collected by trailer with winch
