1938 Triumph Tiger T80 350cc Restored, Stunning machine
This Triumph Tiger 80 has been restored to a very high standard for a museum. It’s a 1938 model with the correct 350cc engine. It is now part of my collection of older Triumphs. I’m selling a few including a 1924 SD Flat Tank, 1955 Pre-unit 650cc Thunderbird and a few unit construction Triumphs.
With the low seat height, it will suit riders of many sizes. As it’s only a 350cc, it’s relatively easy to kick start too.
For those unfamiliar with the Tiger 80, it’s the middle model in the range that were manufactured between 1937 and 1939. The T70 has a 250cc and the T100 has the 500cc. The Tiger 80 is a fairly rare machine, but what appeals to me is the fantastic look.
These bikes are better than money in the bank and you have fun with them at the same time.
Condition: As you can see, it’s in extremely good order. The only minor issue that I haven’t had time to get resolved, is a scratch at the front of the petrol tank. Unfortunately, a shipper managed to scrape the top fork bolts on the tank. Fortunately, it’s just the paint and not the chrome. Other than that, the bike will need recommissioning in the normal way before it can be enjoyed on the road.
Documents: The frame and engine numbers are clear, so getting an age-related plate will be simple enough, as it does not have a V5C at the moment. The Triumph Motorcycle Owner’s Club are very helpful and there is a gentleman there that can do the application for you.
