Description
The Opel Commodore A was manufactured from 1967 to 1971. In September 1967 the sporty Commodore GS offering 130 hp (96 kW) from a dual-carburettor 2. 5 L-six was introduced. It was intended for the executive segment as it was technically more advanced and luxurious, in contrast to the Opel range.
This specimen is in excellent condition, only traveled 125, 000 km, still has the original books and had only one other previous owner. When I discovered this Commodore it had been left unused for around ten years, by the old gentleman that owned it back then. That was when I procedeed to acquire it in order to restore it - restoration which ended a year and a half ago. As a result, the Commodore had its exterior restored, was painted with the original 520 Red Rally and new vinyl was placed on the roof. The engine was revised, the carburetors were revised and tuned, it had a new water pump put in, the radiator and the entire cooling circuit was cleaned and the entire electrical installation was revised as well. It also has been upholstered with its original pattern, carpeted and the interior roof lining has also been renovated. Whoever purchases the Commodore next, will also benefit from getting the original 5 Rostyle wheels, as well as some substitutes.
