Description
After 9 years of ownership and many many good times, the time has come to reluctantly sell our lovely Splitty. I keep telling myself to keep it as an investment but I’d rather it be used and it’s just not getting out enough. Having covered less than 100 miles in the last year, it’s time someone else gave her a loving home.
It’s a good honest, unrestored bus. Imported from California in 2003 and owned by us since 2011, always garaged and maintained with a wealth of history including a recent full ‘engine out’ service including new clutch, gearbox mounts and a bunch of other work totalling over £3500.
All of the underneath is completely solid bar one small patch in the floor near the side doors (shown in the photos). Bottoms of the front doors could do with a bit of attention but as can be seen in the photos they are by no means bad.
Will come with 12 months MOT (although it’s obviously MOT and Tax exempt).
1600 Engine (recent full service, no leaks, starts on the button and super reliable).
Twin Batteries with split charging system recently fully rewired.
New clutch
New gearbox mounts
New fuel lines
Recent brake service
SSP Sprintstar Alloys
Rock’n’roll Bed (with rear lap belts)
Cab Hammock
2 other Seats with interior storage
Extra ‘jump seat’ fits between the rear seats when needed.
Walkthrough cab with Outwell Mat Carpet
JVC head unit with front door and rear panel speakers including 2 amps and iPod connection.
2 x 12v Cigarette Lighter ports under the dash.
Original 60s Radio in the dash (not working)
Unique washer bottle (Absolute Vodka)
Front Safari windows
Outwell awning including 2 sleeping areas and ground sheets. (needs inner tent)
I’m sure there’s plenty more to say but please ask and I’ll tell you what I can.
No dreamers, time wasters or test pilots please! I may be open to an offer but nothing silly and I don’t want a part ex unless it’s a brand new T6 camper.
I’m located in Leigh on Sea in Essex. Feel free to PM me if there are any questions or pick me up on anything I may have missed that’s important and I’ll add it to the description.
