Ducati Supersport, also known as "SS", is a sports bike produced between
1991 and 1998. It uses a “lattice” frame, typical Ducati, in chrome molybdenum steel,
rear shock and inverted front suspension SHOWA, floating disc brakes
BREMBO and 349, 398, 583, 748 and 904 «L-Twin» 4-stroke engines
cubic centimeters.
The 400 version of Supersport, also known as «400SS Junior», was intended for
exclusive to the Japanese market, with only 2160 units produced between 1992 and
1998, all numbered by the Japanese importer «Murayama» on an exclusive carbon fiber «plaque» that serves as the license plate support.
The Supersport 400 engine is none other than the Supersport 750 engine,
jacketed to use pistons of smaller diameter thus reducing the displacement, and debited
43hp transmitted by a 5-speed gearbox.
The set weighed about 170kg and could easily reach 180km / h.
