I bought this MG blind, as a retirement, restoration project. But after it arrived, I've realised the work needed is beyond my skill set
The previous owner told me, that before he bought it, it had been in long term storage since 1991. He advised that in 2013, he replaced the rear subframe but due to a health issue, did no further works. I bought it in July 2020
It is a non runner and requires thorough recommisioning. The engine appears intact but won't turn over. There is just a click when attempting to start. The clutch pedal is seized. The body as a whole appears OK for its age with, I would say, original paint. There are several chips on the roof and a little bubbling, here and there. It will need a repray. The interior has no carpets, but the seats are in very good order. Door cards are good. The dash is intact but needs refurbishment. Beneath the pedal box are holes and there is corrosion to the left front footwell. Welding will be needed in both areas
It comes with a stainles steel exhaust (which needs fitting) original handbook and BMC workshop manual
