To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sothebys' Open Roads, February event, 19 - 28 February 2021. Estimate:€10, 000 - €15, 000 One of 36 examples produced exclusively for Club Italia members, never offered to the publicIndicated mileage of less than 5, 700 kmRecent service totaling to €1, 434 Please note this motorbike has either been driven for no more than 6, 000 kilometres or is less than six months of age from new. For this reason please note that the motorbike may be considered ‘as new’ for VAT purposes if removed from its current country of registration. § Introduced for the 1996 model year, Ducati’s Monster 900 Club Italia was a limited-production version of the standard M900, albeit with some tasteful factory customization. A collaboration between Club Italia, an exclusive club comprising of Italy’s automotive elite including individuals like Luca di Montezemolo, Mauro Forghieri, Clay Regazzioni, and even Piero Ferrari, who played a role in bringing this motorcycle to reality. Retaining the Monster’s adjustable Marzocchi 40 mm USD forks, the rear suspension was supplied by Öhlins. For the brakes, 320 mm fully-floating cast iron Brembo front discs were fitted along with a fully-floating rear caliper. Furthermore, the brakes received remote reservoir master cylinders with braided steel brake and clutch lines. Both wheels were fitted with Pirelli Dragon tyres. Cosmetically, the Club Italia was fitted with a carbon fiber clutch cover and mud guards, while the rider was greeted by a tan leather seat, upholstered in sumptuous Schedoni leather. Just thirty-six examples were produced, all destined for the elite of the Italian automotive and motorcycle world and not made available for public purchase. Each bike’s serial number was stamped into the frame, along with the name of its first owner. In the case of this example, it was delivered new to Alessandro Tonolli. Accompanied by its original Italian registration, confirming Tonolli’s ownership. Tonolli retained the bike until 2011 and it has remained in Italy passing through a handful of owners since. Its odometer is showing just under 5, 700 km from new and presents in very well-preserved condition throughout. Recently serviced, the bike has been fitted with a new fuel pump, fuel filter, new bearings, spark plugs, and has received a new oil filter along with an oil change, totaling to €1, 434.
