Description
1939 Velocette GTP 250
A superb pre-war example of Velocette's 250cc two stroke twin port.
An older restoration, the bike is still in lovely condition and rides very well indeed and exudes Velocette's superb build quality. It benefits from a new battery and has just had a top end re-build; the head was removed and the bore inspected and found to be in good condition. It was cleaned and put back together with new rings, gaskets etc and is all ready to go.
Starting life in Hertfordshire, still wears her original (non transferable) registration number and shows just 3 previous keepers.
A lovely easy starting bike, she rides well, with her engine feeling strong and pulling well through the gears and ready to give many years of service to her next owner.
MOT and Tax exempt, with the V5 in my name, she comes numerous tax discs from the '50's & '60's, an original Owners Handbook and original Spare Parts List, photos prior to restoration and after, old articles etc.
A video of the bike running can be shared; just message me for the link and I can send you high-res photos via a We Transfer link if you would like to see them.
Viewing most welcome (social distancing to be strictly adhered to) near Henley-on-Thames: RG9 5NB and I can help with courier/ or delivery if required, again observing strict social distancing practices.
An exceptional pre-war Velocette which is in lovely all-round condition and ready to use on club runs or down the lanes on a lovely sunny day and offering great value at £5, 995
