Description
Superb restored Yamaha DT125LC Mk1 10V
Matching numbers bike
First registered March 1982
Showing 23, 810 miles (but speedo has been changed from kms)
This lovely early DT has been subject to a complete restoration taking many hours, I have spent well over £2, 600 on new parts and services. These Yamaha’s still do not look dated, even on a bike which is now 39 years old.
In brief the bike has had;
Powder coated frame, swingarm, yokes, and various brackets
Tank painted and sealed
New decals
Complete engine rebuild including crank, rebore, piston, all seals, clutch
Complete carb clean and rebuild
New air filter
New fork seals and gaiters
New tyres, new wheel bearings
New grips, rubbers and footpegs
New clutch lever, brake lever and rubber shrouds
New brake shoes
New chain and sprockets
New swingarm bushes
New chain guide
New battery
New indicators and tail light
New 6v bulbs throughout
New Stanley rear reflector
Uncut number plate holder
Original excellent condition chain guard
New steering head bearings
Numerous parts from CMSNL
Original seat cover retained, no rips or tears
Original wheels with nice chrome on rims
A really lovely bike in stunning overall condition, now ready to be run in and enjoyed. I have tried to keep the bike to its original spec and visual appearance. Plastics have been painted. Sounds very quiet and revs cleanly, obviously will require running in carefully. A USB of photographs will come with the bike showing restoration process.
Interest in the DT125LC’s is increasing, and values continue to rise, so such a nice early example will be a great addition to any Yamaha enthusiast’s collection.
The bike is originally from France. I have the Yamaha dating certificate, and NOVA registration so once MOT’d the next custodian will be the first owner on the UK V5. I can help with the completion of the V55/ 5 DVLA form if needed.
The bike can be viewed under social distance rules in an open-air environment
