The Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse was produced in a limited edition (49 examples).
Designed by the Fiat Group Automobiles Style Center and developed by the Abarth team of Engineers and Designers, the 500 Abarth has been the star of track races since 2009.
The car is presented in full racing style: widened track, specific ultralight 17 ? racing wheels in white, lowered set-up, numerical predisposition on the sides.
Available in pastel gray, with red Abarth side bands, the "500 Abarth Assetto Corse" features an aggressive front that houses the badge with the Abarth logo and, below this, the widened bumper complete with aerodynamic spoiler and screen-printed grids that replace the plastic covers of the standard version.
On the hood, in addition to the classic "hood retainer" hooks, there are the two carbon air intakes that house the Scorpion. The rear of the car is characterized by the white wing spoiler, the badge with the Abarth logo and the double exhaust.
Finally, in full Abarth identity, on the sides the lightning bolt logo representing the racing image of the brand and the roof, with the red stripe and four white checkers, just like on the winning Abarth 850TC version of the 1960s.
Internally, the “500 Abarth Assetto Corse” is equipped with a roll-bar approved for racing, completely emptied, to make it lighter and faster, the car weighs about 180 kg less than the road version (930 kg total). Finally, the anatomical seats, the steering wheel (racing specific) and the door panels in carbon make the 500 Abarth Assetto Corse even more aggressive.
The engine is the now classic 4-cylinder in-line turbocharged, 4 valves per cylinder, of 1368 cm3, subjected however to an interesting anabolic treatment that led it to deliver 200 hp at 6, 500 rpm. The maximum torque is reached at 3, 000 rpm and is 300 Nm. 6-speed manual gearbox.
