Subaru Impreza Sti Spec C Type RA 2005, 45k miles only
First registered in Japan in March 2006, my 2005 Spec C is in stunning original condition, so one for collectors of fast appreciating Japanese classics. There are probably very few original cars left in existence, let alone in such excellent condition. It’s difficult to believe that the car is 15 years old.
My son took the car in part exchange against a Formula 5000 race car last year . The condition really is immaculate, completely free of any rust underneath or on top. The famous WRC blue paint is in exceptional condition, still with a brilliant show room gloss. It’s a cliché, but it does have to be seen to be appreciated.
There are a few very small treated and painted stone chips on the bonnet, a hardly perceptible dent on a door skin and a small area on the lower spoiler where the paint is discoloured, which may machine polish out.
The interior shows no sign of wear to any of the seats, door cards or carpets, again showing that the original owner in Japan must have really cherished the car before coming to the UK. All the fabric is tear free, there is no cloth sag, or bolster damage to the Recaro seats. The driver’s original overmat is slightly faded but not worn.
Wheels and brake calipers are in top condition and immaculately clean.
Prior to my ownership it had 2 former UK keepers . The speedo is still in KM, and shows 72 705 km (45 176 miles). During my ownership it has covered just 2km! It has obviously been stored indoors its whole life.
The engine bay is super clean and tidy, none of the bolt heads, even at the front, are showing any signs of rust. There is no Japanese history with the car, but judging from the super clean bodywork and engine bay, it had a very loving home there. The only UK history I have is an invoice for £1086.. 00 (6R4. com) from 1/ 10/ 21 for checking over the car, oil & filter change, cam belt & tensioner, heavy duty cam belt idler, ancillary belt change and one radiator hose.
I have in my collection over a dozen Japanese imports, some from dealers and some I have bought directly from the auctions. Although I don’t have the Japanese auction condition report, I can honestly say that this is, in my opinion, 4+.
Clean MOT with no advisories until 8/ 10/ 21.
I have decided I have too many cars which I don’t use, so putting some up for sale.
