This is one of the very last Range Rover classics built prior to the p38 being introduced. This particular range rover is especially rare as its not only one of the last but it also combines the desirable (more luxurious) soft dash with the LSE (top-spec model of the time)model along with the Brooklands body kit which makes it one of the rarest and sort after range rovers ever produced.
THE HISTORY
From the factory, this run-out 4. 2-litre LSE example was fitted with the exceptionally rare (and consequently, very desirable) Brooklands body kit. One of less than 25 4. 2 LSE ‘soft dash’ examples left on the road today, this is a wonderfully rare and original example.
Purchased by myself - only the fourth registered keeper - around four years ago, this LSE has been extensively refurbished during my ownership both mechanically and aesthetically, with bills amounting to over £16, 000 pertaining to work carried out on the engine and bodywork.
The body work is in excellent order having had considerable attention to all the problem areas, and the wheels have all been refurbished by Diamond Alloys during May 2021.
Of particular note is the fact that this example remains original even down to the air suspension unit and factory radio, both items of which are regularly removed or upgraded, which should make this particular ‘Rangie’ especially appealing to knowledgable Land Rover enthusiasts.
If that wasn’t enough, the knowledge that throughout its lifetime, this example has only been worked on by Range Rover themselves and marque specialists should certainly bolster the confidence of any potential bidders, safe in the knowledge that the vehicle has always received the specialised care it deserves.

Included with the car is an incredibly comprehensive history folder, which includes a veritable treasure trove of invoices, two sets of keys, the original ownership manual, stamped service record, tax discs.

THE INTERIOR
On the inside, this Range Rover LSE is as luxurious and welcoming as the day it left the manufacturing plant, with the leather seats remaining in nigh-on immaculate condition, along with the door cards and carpets.
The headliner has been replaced during the last few years and remains free of any marks or sagging, whilst the high-traffic areas such as the steering wheel and gear selector are also in excellent shape, and present very well for their age.
There are, as expected, a few commensurate marks here-and-there throughout the cabin in keeping with the car’s age and mileage, but the only particularly notable areas are the wooden inlays, which show early signs of wear and cracking - typical of Range Rovers from this era.
With regards to faults and issues, there are only two that are known to the vendor; The cruise control system is somewhat temperamental, whilst the rear windows are also sporadic in their operation.
THE EXTERIOR
On the outside, the recently-refreshed paintwork presents in excellent shape, and takes years off the appearance of this nigh-on 30-year-old Range Rover.
The ‘Brooklands’ body kit is all in fine form, with only a small scuff noted to the nearside front bumper.
All four wheels are in pristine condition, which is to be expected given the recent refurbishment less than three months ago.
As far as we can see, there is no damage to any of the glazing or light lenses and there is no known history of accident damage.
THE MECHANICALS
Under the bonnet, the 4. 2-litre V8 engine and its ancillaries all look to be in excellent shape.
Further confidence should be taken from the most recent MOT exam - dated 03 September 2020 - resulting in a clean pass with no advisory items.
In April 2021, marque specialist Vogue Autos carried out a minor service including an oil and filter change, along with the fitment of a new rotor arm and a fresh battery. In 2019 a full set of new spark plugs were fitted, along with new shock absorbers and bushes.
Of particular note to any Range Rover enthusiasts - there are no reported faults with the air suspension system, which remains in place and unmodified.
Purchasers often say to buy a car on its condition and its history, which would make this rare final-year 1994 Range Rover LSE a sure-fire winner.
