For sale is my Ducati 916 SPS As can be seen from the photos it’s in lovely condition and is very low mileage (less than 9000 miles).
The SPS model was hand built with a tuned 996 engine, extra fuel injectors, special cams, and rods, beefed up cases and many other one off parts. It was a requirement that Ducati sold a limited edition run to the public to enable Carl Fogarty to race and win the world title and it shows when riding the bike, the engine characteristics are way beyond the 916 and superb to ride, more power but mainly much more midrange punch. But if you’re reading this I’m sure you know about this model.
I have owned this motorcycle for over 10 years and to be honest, I always wanted one and bought it as an investment. I had it immediately serviced by John Cellier (Ducati John) rode it for just over 300 miles, then stored it in a centrally heated garage, everybody who has seen it loves the look of the bike.
It has now been recommissioned, serviced again by John, (new battery, belts oils, filters etc.) MOT’d and not ridden since.
It is ready for the new owner to have fun on it.
Ducati at the time this motorcycle was built was in a state of flux, they had no UK importer and models were sourced from where ever they could be found, Ducati would even sell bikes from the factory gates!
This bike was originally sold by Ducati to Europe then imported new by the Scottish Ducati Main agent, and kept north of the boarder until I purchased it. The last owner changed the speedometer for a brand new MPH one and it now shows 825 miles, the original speedometer is available with the bike and it reads 12851 km
Many of these SPSs were raced or used as track bikes, both of which they are very competent at, however, this motorcycle has been a millionaires toy and the pictures show this, many quality period Carbon Fibre parts have been added, however, please don’t forget it is nearly 25 years old and as such the odd minor blemish can be seen, very slight dent of the vulnerable exhaust front pipe, information stickers polished clean, none effect the performance or ride of the bike.
Motorcycle comes with original speedo, Standard Silencers, Tool Kit, Dust Cover, stand, original headlamp mounting cowl, plus other parts, all in all an excellent appreciating package.

Keep in the front room as a show piece or use it as intended, they have always been rare and can only go one way.
The motorcycle is located on the Yorkshire coast. It looks even better in real life than in the photographs, I feel sure anybody who buys it will not be disappointed.
