Mgb cca 348x was first registered on 12 aug 1981, but was manufactured in abingdon 7-10th dec 1979 (see heritage certificate). during the period 2014-2018 extensive work was carried out to restore it to the original mgb specification (ie before 1974). this included: Removal of front and back rubber bumpers and replacement with chrome bumpers; Replacement of radiator grill and front valence, including fitment of new side/ indicator lights; Fitment of new daytime running lights; Purchase of kit and fitment of new lower suspension; Welding and re-spraying car in tartan red; Re-positioning battery to boot; Conversion to wire wheels and fitment of new front and rear hubs; Fitment of new radio and wiring; Replacement of boot/ bonnnet struts with gas-filled struts; Fitment of new fog lights beneath the rear lights; Fitment of new k&m filters to the twin carburetors; And replacement of screen wash reservoir.
after conversion and restoration the mgb was successfully motd on 14 jun 2018 and 21 may 2019.
the mgb comes complete with full hood, tonneau cover, heritage certificate, v5c showing it is a historic vehicle (and thus mot and vehicle tax exempt), spare wire wheel and tyre, book describing the conversion with many colour photos and 3 mgb manuals. Also about 30 editions of mg owners magazine.
the car had ziebart treatment from new, has been garaged and only used on dry days.
