I’am delighted to offer for sale my early wooden chassis 1967 marcos 1600 gt finished in arctic white.
registration document shows just 2 previous keepers and last caretaker since 1981. interestingly the car was owned in the mid 70’s by the current owner of marcos heritage ‘ rory macmath ‘
the previous keeper was a highly skilled engineer and carried out an extensive restoration in the early 90’s, his attention to detail can be seen throughout the car with stainless bolts / fasteners and various components powder coated.
during the renovation the 1600cc cross flow engine was rebored out to 1700cc
by rjd pro power with ported and flowed cylinder head, high performance camshaft, steel valves, steel rocker shaft & rockers, lightened flywheel & crankshaft pulley complimented with twin 40 dellorto carburettors & ram flow filters, tailored with genuine marcos cast rocker cover.
just undergone complete carburettor rebuild and rolling road set up, making 118 bhp !
avo gas adjustable coil over suspension, webasto style retractable sunroof, fully refurbished genuine 13” marcos alloy wheels ( 5 of ) with new tyres. Dateless unique registration number ufl 777.
registered as a historic vehicle and as such is mot & road tax exempt, but has undergone full mechanical refresh to mot standards.
alternatively and coming from marcos racing pedigree, this car being registered in 1967 would be eligible for racing with active historic sports car clubs.
comes with extensive history file along old mot certificates dating back to 1981, servicing & data sheets with period photographs.
