1992 XR2i 1. 8 One owner since 1994
Finished in Diamond White and supplied new to its first owner on the 4th August 1992 by Hendy Lennox Ford in Southampton. There is documentation in the vehicle file confirming the transaction.
In late April 1994 the car was sold by Evans Halshaw Ford in Winchester to its second owner (invoice in vehicle file) with 14, 800 miles who have kept the car until now and have decided that due to space after downsizing their home to let the car go to someone who will now appreciate it.
It has always been maintained well although there is only partial history due to documentation being misplaced over the course of time. The engine was replaced at approximately 75, 000 miles. The mileage in total is 119, 790miles.
There has been sympathetic welding as required over the course of time and the car has had paintwork too. It drives very well, and the engine and drive train perform well.
The electric front windows have both decided recently to stop functioning which I would guess is probably a switch/ electrical issue. In general, a good solid base for improvement with low ownership and nice provenance.
I am based just 10 minutes from Junction 9 M3 in Winchester.
