Due to a recent bereavement, I am reluctantly offering for sale my lovely 2001 Jaguar S-TYPE.
This is the SE 3L V6 petrol edition finished in a stunning Emerald Green with a cream leather interior.
The vehicle was purchased by the owner from a management company in 2005 and has been lovingly looked after since, after his death it was registered to another member of the family and myself.
Covering 98, 000 miles from new the car still looks and drives the way it should and is a real stylish machine harking back to the styling of the Mk2 Jaguar.
Although 20 years old, with a few marks here and there, id genuinely class this car as a very good presentable example with many years of life left.
No engine issues, and as far as I can tell no electrical gremlins either. The car has had a brand new battery installed last week and the air conditioning has just been regassed (reading a lovely 4 degrees!). Reversing sensors, automatic lights and lots of other gadgets.
There are a few bad bits I feel it fair to disclose:
- Drivers side bolster has wear.
- Centre cup holder has a hole drilled in it for a sat nav (however I have a BRAND NEW replacement to go with the car)
- Some clear lacquer peel around 1 inch in size around the front of the passenger door. This is where the elderly gent has clearly held to get in and out of the car. - this isn't noticeable, but I know it's there.
- Small knock to the rear bumper near the towbar (no paint damage - but is plastic and I haven't been able to find the time to 'pop' it out).
Good Points:
- No rot or rust is visible
- Starts on the button
- 4 good tyres
- Comfy and powerful ride
- Still rather economic (in terms of a 3L Jaguar)
- Overall fantastic condition and a lovely example
- Navigation system and 6 CD changer all fully functional
- Long MOT
Car is being used once a month so mileage may creep up a tad but nothing drastic.
Service documents and some MOT / parts paperwork are available. 2 Keys and V5 in my name.
I'd advise a viewing is necessary! You won't be disappointed. Taxed and tested ready for a test drive!
