1952/ 3 AUSTIN A90 ATLANTIC 2. 7 FHC
Only 7900 cars were ever built (most of which were exported and now lost) and production ceased in 1952 after only 3 years (see model details below)
LDA 903 was one of the last Austin A90 Atlantics built (#4200) in 1952 but not registered until 10 June 1953
(a week after the Queen's Coronation) by its first owner in Wimbledon, SW15.
The car was subsequently purchased by Mrs Lilly Knight of Wolverhampton who was the owner for many years.
The car was subsequently sold for by Hurst Park Automobiles in Surrey in 1995 with warranted mileage of 59, 000 (with the bill of sale of 25/ 11/ 1995 for 10, 995)
The 3rd owner undertook a comprehensive body and mechanical restoration over the years including a rebuild of its original engine (which now runs superbly). There was also a full bodywork restoration (incl wings removed & doors) and the car is completely rust free. The colour was changed from its original blue to most attractive cherry red with new black leatherette roof
The original seats (light grey leather with red piping) and new carpets are in excellent condition . Excellent under bonnet and rust free underneath
Unique opening rear screen as per the original design (See below)
This car has had a fortune spent including recent brake overhaul, reconditioning of the original twin SU 1. 5" carbs, stainless exhaust and new heavy duty battery. Recent engine service.
Excellent gearbox and original 4 speed column change which has also been reconditioned.
This is a very rare opportunity to purchase one of the estimated 65 cars still surviving in the UK which is in excellent condition and would complement a private collection or museum.
Obviously this 69 year old is now Historic Tax class & MOT exempt
LDA 903 is currently on SORN with V5 in my name. AAOC registered with large accompanying literature file )
Original A70/ A90 Service Manual included
