Description
1959 Ford Prefect 100E (4 door saloon) with original 1172cc side valve engine, 3 forward gears, grey and blue interior with cream piping, and manifold vacuum powered windscreen wipers. Genuine low mileage and extensive (but not fully complete) documentation since registration. Only 100, 000 of these cars were ever made, and this one has had 3 registered owners all based in and around the Morpeth / Newcastle area. The current owners acquired it in 2001 and exhibited the car at a number of shows. Although the car is currently garaged it is in drivable condition. Bodywork is original, and in generally good condition with some sympathetic repairs undertaken. Paintwork is in good condition, with some flaking on the nearside front wing. Engine runs well, although a new alternator is required and some of the rubber pipework will need replacing. Viewing highly recommended; we wish to sell to someone who will appreciate this small part of British motoring history and who has the time to sympathetically restore the vehicle to top working condition.
