Fully restored original 1971 Marcos 3 Litre Volvo.
This car has been totally restored by us at Marcos Heritage. It is unmolested and in virtually original specification.
Chassis: The chassis was supplied new by ourselves to the previous owner some years ago, but was never fitted. The body has been removed from the existing chassis, all running gear changed over from the original chassis to the new, the body refitted, using all new suspension bushes, fuel & brake lines, joints, nuts & bolts etc...
Mechanical: The car has undergone a full engine rebuild complete with a new clutch and the original gearbox reconditioned. The car is also fitted with an overdrive ( not original specification, a recognised update ) which makes the car much more user friendly in modern motoring conditions.
Brakes & Suspension: The brakes have been overhauled, likewise the suspension.
Bodywork: The bodywork has been stripped back to the original fibreglass, any fibreglass cracks have been repaired, and the car fully repainted in the original Mid Chrome yellow. The car has been refitted with new bumpers, headlamp covers, number plates, glazing rubbers and gaskets, and new side windows.
Interior: The interior has been sympathetically restored including new carpets & under felt, new headlining, and leather cloth where applicable. The car retains the original Basketweave seat panels.
Misc: The car is fitted with non original but period Revolution wheel which have been refurbished and fitted with new tyres.
This car has been restored regardless of cost to a very high standard, whilst retaining its original features as much as possible. A car in this condition is exceptionally rare and undoubtedly the best 3 Litre Volvo Marcos on the market.
This car comes with the knowledge that is has been restored by the experts to a very high standard.
At point of sale the car will be MOT'd, and come with a comprehensive sheet including a copy of the original build file.
