Recently arrived with us in the UK from Japan is this superb 2005 Volkswagen Passat 4. 0 W8 automatic estate.
We first imported a W8 several years ago, a saloon version which was very impressive. The W8 is a compact luxury car with an 8 cylinder 275 bhp 4. 0 petrol engine, all wheel drive and 5 speed automatic transmission. We found our saloon version to be reliable, effortless, very secure in wintry & wet conditions and able to offer 30 mpg on long runs.
The estate adds practicality and an even greater 'Q' car factor.
The example being offered here is a 2005 model year facelift version. It was first registered in June 2005 and has covered 152, 000 kms which equates to 94000 miles at the time of writing; increasing slightly as I am using this car. It has a full book pack and an extensive Japanese service record. It is unmodified and finished in dark metallic blue with charcoal nappa leather.
Specification includes 17" 'madras' alloy wheels, xenon headlights, heated seats front & rear, electric front seats, cruise control, digital climate control, front & side airbags, abs & esp, rear load cover, front fog lights and power folding heated mirrors.
The road tax on this car is £295 per year.
It looks, drives and sounds superb; exactly how you would expect a W8 to be.
