When the Jaguar XK120 hit the marketplace in 1948, it took the motoring world by storm. To this day, the Jaguar XK120 is still considered by many to be rolling sculpture, with the performance to match it’s elegant proportions.
This XK120 is a matching numbers example, purchased by its collector owner from the dry state of Texas. It then underwent a two and half year restoration by a marque specialist, and is accompanied by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate. It retains a complete tool roll in excellent condition, and has a discreet fifth gear upgrade to aid in drivability. In 2008, this car was shown in three Jaguar Club of North America events, and received perfect scores 100 point scores as a national champion.
In 2011 this XK120 was shown at the Greenwich Concours d‘Elegance, winning the "Most Historically Significant Jaguar Award", while also winning "Best in Class - Post War European Class"at the prestigious St. Johns Concours d'Elegance. The following years are listed below, however it should be noted that was not shown during the period 2017-2020 as it was undergoing mechanical and cosmetic improvements to remain in top show car condition.
The car starts immediately, and is fully sorted example. Handling is tight, and the straight six provides a tremendous sound. This is by far the finest XK120 that we have ever come across in the marketplace!
