Marvellous condition - virtually fully restored over the last 10 years.
Exterior ranks 9. 9 out of 10.
Interior still has original fabric with no holes, tears or fading though there is some shrinkage of original carpets. I'd rank it 7 out of 10.
So much work to list but in brief:
- Full respray with comprehensive waxoyl & underseal protection. (Side rub strips have been removed and the holes filled as this was a water trap. I kept back the strips though just in case.)
- New Pilkington bespoke windscreen with new rubbers on all glass.
- New manifold-back stainless steel exhaust system.
- All Wheels refurbished with new tyres.
- All brake calipers fully rebuilt with new seals and braided lines plus new rotors and pads.
- New suspension (springs and dampers) all around.
- All steering components de-rusted, resprayed and fully re-bushed.
- New fuse board with nearly all earths re-made.
- New HT leads and distributor plus refurbished / rewound alternator.
- New radiator plus full system flushing.
- Many full engine and gearbox services with a full belt service just done in July 2022.
- Original Weber DCA36 carb fully stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with all new seals.
- Manual choke conversion (as bi-metallic strip in the auto-choke fails with age.)
- Head gasket also just done with all valves re-lapped etc.
- All light lenses have been replaced or restored. I have pattern headlamps with whiter light bulbs though I have kept the original 'Carillo' lamps in storage as they are now irreplaceable.
Runs and drives beautifully. For UK readers, the MOT is set to be renewed on August 11th but has passed with no advisories for the last 3 years and I have no doubt it will go through again.
There's probably a load of other things I have done but I can't list everything here but would be happy to discuss on the phone.
