A lot has been written about the one-off Mercedes Pininfarina and thanks to the reactions we have got, we were able to find out the complete history of the car. And what a special story that is! Only one was build, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6. 3 left the factory brand new and was brought to Pininfarina in Turin for a complete makeover. A 4-door saloon came back to the Netherlands in 1970 as a special 2-doors coupe in grey metallic, with brown leather seats and a dark green carpet. With s subtle white pinstripe and the whitewall tires as a finishing touch.
In the early years the car was driven regularly, but as she got older, the car was barely driven. When we found the car in a shed, it was covered in dust but when we put in a battery and turned the key, the engine fired up immediately.
