The Mk2 is a timeless British super-saloon once described as ‘a convenient family car, a businessman’s express, a sports coupé and a grand tourer.’ It's no surprise then that the Mk2 was known as the British Bank Robber's Favourite Getaway Car.
Our car is finished in a stunning deep blue colour with a full red leather interior. Cosmetically and mechanically this car is extremely sound, having had a full respray three years ago, all new chrome, and a brand-new interior from Aldridge trimming. This car was originally a 3. 8 however, it has since had the engine replaced with the smoother 3. 4 (which only loses 10bhp over the 3. 8) and has power steering.
Recently, the car has had a new water pump, radiator, electronic distributor, and all-new brake cylinders. The front suspension has been rebuilt with new hubs, dics, calipers, springs, bushes, and shock absorbers. The rear suspension has also been rebuilt with new springs, calipers, hubs, and brakes. The steering box is original, in perfect working order, and not leaking. A brand new stainless steel exhaust system with new manifolds has also been fitted. Finally, the car has brand new wire wheels and tyres.
