Built in an era when Mercedes was making some of the finest cars in the world, this SL500 is a truly lovely, low-owner and extremely low-mileage example of an appreciating modern classic. It has cruise control, climate control and heated seats that have electric tilt, slide and headrests.
3 owners from new and has covered just 33, 6000 miles from new. It presents like new and drives superbly well.
Finished in the glorious and fresh brilliant silver metallic with two-tone leather interior, this is one of the best combinations we have seen. The entire bodywork is near on faultless and the 18” AMG wheels are unmarked.
Supplied with rare option of the hard top panoramic roof from factory and with a black soft top underneath. The electric roof is fully operational.
Featuring the 32-valve 5-litre V8, this SL500 develops a silky smooth 320bhp and achieves 0-60 in 6. 3 seconds which is impressive even today. The power is sent to the rear wheels for a punchy but comfortable cruising driving experience.
Fully supported by a huge file of paperwork, comprising of invoices and bills for maintenance and servicing, MOT certificates, and well-stamped service book.
It was looked after meticulously by the supplying Mercedes dealer, with 11 services dating from 1996 all the way up to 2012 at 32, 531 miles. It then had two independent services with the last in September 2020.
It has just been fitted with a brand-new Continental tyre to the rear and the front Continentals were replaced in October 2020. We have just replaced front discs and pads and it will receive new number plates.
