Description
This Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL, converted by TRASCO, is a piece of contemporary history: At the end of 1989, the assassination attempt on Alfred Herrhausen by members of the Red Army Fraction shook West Germany. In addition to politicians, industrialists and managers now also saw themselves increasingly threatened by terrorism and were taking new security precautions. This is also the case with the management of the Tengelmann Group. A few months after the assassination attempt on Herrhausen, a 560 SEL was ordered from Mercedes-Benz for the management and then lengthened and armored at TRASCO Bremen in a patented manual process. The equipment in the rear includes a television with video recorder and an intercom system with siren in the driver's compartment. The entire vehicle has been extensively armored, equivalent to B4 factory armor. Furthermore, the TRASCO long version impresses with a very rare color combination, air conditioning, auxiliary and seat heating, electric windows/ seats ABS
