The car was subject of the book ‘The last works Minis’ and has continuous history since the production line . In summary the car was fully funded by Rover UK and the project run by British Motor Heritage. It initially competed in the 1996 Nurburgring 24hr race before taking part in the 1997 Monte Carlo Rally. Later that year it competed in the 1997 Nurburgring 24 hr race .
