Bought last year for my brother’s birthday. He is now after an El Camino as a shop truck so I’m selling it for him. The car was imported to the UK a couple of years ago by a friend. It has since had a new stock crate 350 Small Block Chevy fitted.
The car is beyond cool and probably the cheapest way into 2 door, 70s, V8 muscle car ownership. The Pontiac Venture is essentially a Chevrolet Nova in Pontiac trim so parts are very readily available.
The body is tatty and patina’d but that’s why I bought it in the first place - it looks the nuts! The original metallic blue paint is sun faded and the bonnet has even repainted at some point in flat black. Combined with the Chrome wheels, it harks back to the 80s high school built cars of yesteryear.
The car has a 3 speed auto box (column shift) and a custom exhaust system. It sounds the business! The interior is original and a bit tatty. It has just had a new headliner kit fitted and a new brake servo as well as HT leads and a carburettor rebuild and new rear arches and quarters welded on and satin black painted over.
The suspension bushes could probably do with changing but we lived with it as is. The car has pretty much been his daily driver this past year. It was last serviced less than 200 miles ago.
A great entry level, Uber cool Muscle Car that could be enjoyed as is or improved over time.
