Description
The Series III, built from 1971 to 1974, received the new Jaguar 5. 3 liter V12 under the hood, along with upgraded brakes and power steering as standard. The FHC was discontinued and the Series 3 was only available as an OTS convertible and 2+2 coupé. The OTS also used the extended chassis of the 2+2. The Series 3 was further distinguished with a different radiator grille, rimmed wheel arches and V12 on the trunk emblem.
Our car came to the Netherlands from the USA in 2010. Here the car has been partly restored, all invoices of which are available for inspection. It is a manual version, which is already a special feature. You want to have a manual E-type because then you have full control over the power of the 12 cylinders and that is what it is all about. Technically, this Jaguar has also been thoroughly overhauled. The last owner was a German who wanted the car to be in good condition. The body is Sable Brown and the interior is beige leather, a nice combination. You must see this color in real life because it gives the car a chic look. It drives, shifts, steers and brakes as it should. It is a beautiful E-type for the enthusiast!
