This car was originally shipped to New York on 12th December 1956, It spent some time in Florida before moving to California. It was sold into Europe in the mid 1980’s and was painstakingly restored (documented) in Austria by an engineer, Mr Alfred Schmal.
The car had a bare metal respray in Jaguar Midnight Blue with the red leather interior retained. A Kenlowe fan was added as well as pressurised cooling system to assist in slow running situations.
It then moved to the UK with all of the relevant documentation completed to be enjoyed here despite being LHD.
Whilst in the current ownership the car was treated to new battery and radial ply tyres as well as a 5 speed gearbox (original also with the car) and Mota Lita steering wheel. The Grill was re-chromed and a slightly pitted chrome wire wheel replaced. All the original parts have been retained and can easily be replaced. It is a delight to drive, mechanically reliable with real road presence and in concourse condition.
