For sale is my MG 1300 Mk2, from the summer of '69, in a fetching shade of Connaught Green, having covered fewer than 60, 000 miles over the last 54 years.
The original owner died in 1983, and his son Anthony then stored it in a garage for the next 20 years, before selling it to Martin, who kept it for 16 years before I bought it in 2019.
It's a rare two-door version, although they're all pretty rare these days, and it's got the Mini Cooper 1275cc twin-carb 11 stud engine, so it easily keeps up with modern traffic.
Its MOT expires in February 2024, although it doesn't actually need one, and it's tax and ULEZ exempt, which is useful if you work in a city.
Bodywork and chrome are pretty good, as are the seats and carpets. The underside appears to be covered in Waxoyl so is protected from the elements.
