First registered December 1987 (E Prefix Reg), this rare and very low mileage S2 Escort RS Turbo is in both a superb and an extremely original condition, typified by its recorded 24, 500 miles. Finished in Mercury Grey Metallic with a Grey patterned cloth Recaro interior. We understand that this RS Turbo has been carefully dry stored and covered for a number of years hence the 'Timewarp' condition in which that the car presents itself today.
The 1. 6 Litre (Garret T3 water-cooled) Turbo-charged in-line four-cylinder, (KE Jetronic Fuel Injected) engine produces 132 bhp, giving a reported top speed of 125 mph and a 0 to 60 time of 8. 3 seconds. With a Limited Slip Differential and 220 mm clutch delivering the power to the road.
The specification includes the correct 15 Inch six spoke alloys, the correct radio/ cassette, Central Locking, Electric Front Windows and a Manual Sun-roof.
Supplied with early paperwork and then the car was taken off the road. Mechanically re-commissioned in September 2022 with a full inspection, service, full detail and a cam-belt change; a fresh Advisory free MoT was issued on 12 March 2022. Accompanying the car are the original manual and a service book.
Now a very rare sight in an original and unmolested form, this example will not disappoint and should find pride of place in any fast Ford collection.
