Rare now, a true Barn Find 1971 Ford Capri Mk 1 1600XL Pre Facelift Model, in totally unmessed with original condition and now requiring sympathetic straightforward condition. Only 2 owners and 74000 from new and stored inside since 1994, here is an opportunity to have the ‘Car you always promised yourself’ as the Period Ford adverts declared. Most certainly this is NOT a basket case, but though there is some welding required, the Bodyshell is in rather (untypically) good shape and a competent welder would get the necessary repairs done in less than a week-A post on nearside, ends of both sills, rear has had a gentle ‘storage’ shunt and needs straightening etc etc. Tawny Brown paint is just so period and inside the Tan Interior (seats need work) is rare, as 9/ 10 cars were Black Vinyl. Car sits very well and rolls easily for transport. Engine turns freely and though needing a core plug, this and a general ignition/ fluids service will be completed prior to Sale. Clutch is free and works.
