Ford Cortina 3. 0S . RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid and NOVA declaration done. Genuine factory built car with build plate showing 3. 0S. Car has been repainted in Orange but original colour was Signal Yellow. Car is extremely solid and original underneath. Its also a very rare model which were not available here. Car is now UK registered
Body - MK4 Cortina shell. Very solid underneath. Never been welded by the look of it. Will need one minor repair in the spare wheel well. Good inner wings, underbonnet, chassis, . Very original shell. Paintwork is showing a bit signs of wear and tear. Its cracked round the o/ s wiper, lifting a bit on the rear arch, crack on rear scuttle and back of roof. This looks like either its not been prepped properly or cheaper paint used. Bit of bubbling on bottom of drivers door. This could be used as it is but if you wanted it spot on you would need to paint it.
Mechanics - Original 3. 0 V6 Essex engine and 4 speed gearbox. Car starts runs and drives. No nasty smoke or rattles. Standard 3 litre S running gear. Good brakes and clutch. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate but pulls well. Bit of a clunk from the rear when you come on and off the throttle sharply. Car was in use in South Africa but would recommend a good checkover before being used in anger. Rear axle bushes will need replaced
Interior - Original interior in very good order. Slight split on driver seat on the stitching. Good dashtop, headlining, door cards and carpet are all decent.
Wheels - Standard steels which need refurbed on old tyres. Car was running on big rims in SA
