This is a fantastic value, superbly presented MGB Roadster that was subject of an early 1990’s rolling shell rebuild. Driven over to us faultlessly on a Sunday morning from Keighley, West Yorkshire, LNV 652L presents beautifully throughout, is mechanically exceptional and features some lovely upgrades that enhance usability and performance. Whilst rebuilt in the early 1990’s, since 2003 thousands of pounds have been spent on upkeep, maintenance and improvements, and the last owner has enjoyed around 15, 000 miles of motoring since buying the MG in 2015.
Whilst an older restoration, the car presents as a much more recent rebuild due to its upkeep and expenditure. The MGB had a further engine rebuild in 2004, and more recent upgrades include power assisted steering, parabolic springs, Gaz front and rear shocks, braided brake hoses, sports leather recliner seats, unleaded cylinder head and more recent cosmetic enhancements include new wheels, mohair hood and frame and wood dash. A detailed log of all works, and invoices for parts are all with the MG making up a large comprehensive history file that also includes photos of the earlier rebuild.
LNV 652L has an excellent, straight bodyshell with gleaming paintwork, stunning chrome and is without doubt ideal for the local show scene. It is also capable of long-distance cruising and with 15, 000 miles covered since 2015 it's proven to be reliable and a fantastic, fun car to own. The engine bay is of a high standard, the boot compartment nicely carpeted and the interior trim very smart with lovely leather, carpets, and wood dash. The MG feels and presents as a very well detailed, much-loved car and if looking for a strong, excellent driving MGB in stunning condition, this car really will not disappoint. On the road the B Roadster offers impressive performance, the engine is strong and fit with excellent oil pressure, the overdrive gearbox delightful and handling and road holding are first class. This is perfect for classic motoring and is absolutely on the button, ready to go.
