Description
This quintessentially British roadster, with its first registration date off 3rd October 1958, has been imported into Switzerland many years ago. Until 1988 there is unfortunately no documented history on the car, but from July of that year the documentation present shows the diligent maintenance the Healey has received. After a change of ownership in 1997 the car was sold to it's last owner in 2003. He regularly used his roadster for occasional outings and classic car rallies. To make the Healey more usable, he had a stainless steel exhaust system, an electronic ignition, new dampers and a new wiring loom installed. In addition, for improved safety, the front axle was converted to disc brakes. The seats were restored in 2006 and recovered in new leather. In 2013, around 20’000 kilometres ago, the gearbox and the overdrive were overhauled and the alternator replaced. For use in rallies, the Healey is equipped with stopwatches and a trip master and to provide a more sporting appearance, the bumpers have been removed and replaced by overriders at the back. The original parts are present and will be handed over with the car. The BN4 is in good condition and will be sold with the last veteran MOT completed in October 2016.
