Lotus Elan+2, 1968. Lovely early example with a galvanised Lotus chassis and an extensive history file to show the work completed during the rebuild. My first Elan+2 was virtually the same age and had the early electric window chrome rocker switches and other nice touches that you only see in the first few years of production of the Plus Two. A thoroughly well sorted example that drives and handles as a good Elan should. Solid driveshaft conversion to eliminate the “wind-up” associated with the standard rotoflex couplings (donuts). Engine rebuilt by Lotus specialists Spydercars Ltd. of Peterborough in 2018 totalling around £7k. Less than 2, 000 miles since the rebuild. Brought back to standard (std.) bore size. Lots of other chassis work by the same company in 2020 and the fitting of 4 new Minilite Alloys (not copies) with new Yokohama tyres. Old MOT certificates going back 34 years showing the slow progression of approximately 1500 miles per annum. A superb example in every respect. Comes fully serviced and with a fresh MOT (although not required by law).
