Supplied new on 17th June 1965 through A D Fraser, RR agents Glasgow, to the first keeper in Essex who retained ownership for approximately 45 years. P&A Woods handled the preparation and sale of the car for the first time in 2010, carrying out a major recommissioning when the car showed just over 8k miles. The second owner brought the car over to his home in Sweden later that year. Being an active RREC member, the car was used on outings covering circa 12k miles in 12 years, maintained by the RR specialist in Berlin. In 2021 the car returned to the UK, going virtually full circle, to its now 3rd owner residing near Glasgow where she first started out! Maintained by P&A Woods with invoices on file stretching back over 40 years, with MOTs running back nearly 50 years. The earliest MOT on file shows its mileage in July 1974 at 2461 miles, with approximately 15 additional MOTs showing a gradual rise to the currently displayed 20700 miles. There is no documentation for the first 9 years, so although the cars condition and drive is commensurate for a 20k miles car, it cannot be warranted for this reason. The interior is as original as you could ever expect to see for this age, never been connolised, complimented by excellent woodwork, headlining and carpets. The original period radio remains in place, and original sales brochure and handbook accompany. All instrumentation remains un yellowed with bright white legends, all working as does the instrument back lighting and interior lighting. The electric windows motor freely up and down on all 4 doors, with no sticking or juddering. The door cards look as if they’ve never been removed. The engine bay presents as it would have at 5 years of age. All tools, small and large are present. Drive is tight, smooth and quiet with minimum wind noise, as the door seals appear to be the original. Oil pressure and temperature sit correctly when warm, and gear change is smooth up and down the box. The overall aesthetics, feel and drive of the car is as nice as I've experienced in any Cloud.
