930 G50, top of the range 5-speed, collector's item

The Porsche 930, the first generation 911 turbo, was the fastest production car when it was launched. Initially, it was produced exclusively because it was a condition of entry in several races that the annual production figure should exceed 1, 000 units.

However, the first production run far exceeded the target, and the turbo became a complete success story, highly sought after despite its high price, and remains so to this day.

In addition to the large rear wing, it features a widened rear fender and protective foil (always 'concrete grey' on the first generation) and twin exhaust pipes. Interestingly, in the case of the 930, exhaust gas only comes out of the left pipe when the turbocharger pressure control valve is opened for higher throttle, which adds an extra sound organ.

The top model of the first generation of the turbo is the 930 G50, produced in 1989, the last year of production. This model was the only one fitted with the Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox, and also the first to feature a hydraulic clutch; from the outside, the top model is recognisable to the expert eye by the small red LED lights on the doors next to the opening indicator buttons.

Its performance is outstanding even by today's standards: it accelerates to 100 km/ h in 5. 2 seconds and has a top speed of over 260 km/ h. Its excellent handling is also due to its weight of just 1255 kg.

The high-end 930 Porsche (930 G50) is extremely rare, with only 1, 376 (!) coupes produced, and the European version is the rarest of these.

The car offered for sale has had a traceable few owners, from 1989 to 2002 in San Marino, until 2010 in Düsseldorf, and since 2121 with its current owner, all very unique for a 35 year old car.

The car is in perfect technical and aesthetic condition. Its undamaged bodywork is like new, rust is naturally nowhere to be found, the paintwork is scratch-free, the interior is not only free of tears but almost untouched. Its colour scheme is one of the most beautiful.

Its engine, gearbox and running gear are technically in virtually factory condition, with all wearing parts having been replaced in good time. In 35 years it has only 92000 km. Everything on the car is in working order and in its present condition it requires no further maintenance or repairs.

It is fully equipped with all the extras: air conditioning, power seats, headlight washers, rear wipers, power windows and mirrors, Fuchs wheels, sport differential lock, factory hi-fi, tarpaulin cover etc.

Der Porsche 930, die erste Generation des 911 turbo, war bei seiner Markteinführung das schnellste Serienfahrzeug. Anfänglich wurde er ausschließlich produziert, da die Teilnahme an mehreren Rennen an die Bedingung geknüpft war, dass die jährliche Produktionszahl 1. 000 Einheiten übersteigen sollte.

Die erste Serie übertraf das Ziel jedoch bei weitem, und der Turbo wurde zu einer absoluten Erfolgsgeschichte, die trotz des hohen Preises sehr begehrt war und es bis heute ist.

Neben dem großen Heckflügel verfügt er über einen verbreiterten hinteren Kotflügel und eine Schutzfolie (bei der ersten Generation immer betongrau"") sowie über Doppelauspuffrohre. Interessant ist, dass beim 930 die Abgase nur aus dem linken Rohr kommen, wenn das Druckregelventil des Turboladers für höhere Drosselklappen geöffnet wird, was eine zusätzliche Klangorgel ergibt.

Das Spitzenmodell der ersten Turbo-Generation ist der 930 G50 aus dem Jahr 1989, dem letzten Produktionsjahr. Dieses Modell war das einzige, das mit dem Getrag 5-Gang-Schaltgetriebe ausgestattet war, und auch das erste mit einer hydraulischen Kupplung; von außen ist das Spitzenmodell für das geübte Auge an den kleinen roten LED-Leuchten an den Türen neben den Blinker-Knöpfen zum Öffnen zu erkennen.

Seine Fahrleistungen sind selbst für heutige Verhältnisse hervorragend: Er beschleunigt in 5, 2 Sekunden auf 100 km/ h und erreicht eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von über 260 km/ h. Sein hervorragendes Fahrverhalten ist auch auf sein Gewicht von nur 1255 kg zurückzuführen.

Der High-End-Porsche 930 (930 G50) ist mit nur 1. 376 (!) produzierten Coupés extrem selten, und die europäische Version ist die seltenste unter ihnen.
