Description

Genuine, Original 1965 Triumph Thruxton Bonneville.

One of only 52 ever made, an original, genuine 1965 Thruxton Bonneville. One of the first four bikes built to full specification as a Show/ Test bike. So one of the earliest surviving bikes.

Fully differences to a standard Bonneville are too many to list but this bike has it all; the close ratio gearbox, race seat, Thruxton silencers, cutdown Monobloc carburettors with central float bowl, Thruxton tappets and hollow pushrods, Thruxton camshafts, etc, etc, etc. When first sold you could purchase a "Thruxton" and take it straight from the showrooms to the race track! Built by world renowned Thruxton expert Huge Dickinson, who holds the Thruxton Register. This bike runs perfectly, is in almost immaculate original condition and very nearly a perfect Thruxton. This bike is the reason the new Triumph company keeps using the Thruxton name on "very unlimited" models!

As with all of our vehicles, we have a digital folder available on request containing more images, walkaround videos, pictures of the underside and scans of the service history. The car can be viewed by appointment at our West London showroom.
