Principle Facts
A very usable 280SL with some desirable options, in an interesting colour combination. A nice late version of the early cars, complete with 'Mexican hat' alloy wheels and air conditioning. Light Ivory (623) with Brazil Leather (273) and Dark Brown Fabric Soft Top (746)

Condition
This well cared for and honest car presents well with some room for cosmetic improvements. Although there are some areas where this car could be brought up to scratch, it's a lovely base for either a program of works or to be used and enjoyed as it is - light ivory with brazil leather is a rare combination, and the options and history file all point to this car being owned by some well heeled individuals throughout the 1980s and 1990s! The stereotypical SL owner who ticks all the options.
Sadly the Becker Mexico as specified in the data card is missing, but the new owner can console themselves with the presence of the wood gear knob, a nice aftermarket addition.
History
Accompanying the car is a detailed service history file, including the original service book which shows a lifetime of careful maintenance. We have no doubt that the silky smooth six cylinders will continue on for another hundred thousand miles with one very happy owner at the wheel of this rare and desirable classic.
